Matthew was born March 13, 1987 in Newcastle, WY. Matt went to school in Emmert Newcastle and Rapid City. He graduated from Central High School in 2006. In 2008 he graduated from Western Dakota Technical Institute with an associate degree in automotive technology.

In 2010 he graduated Duane W. Pinnt RAPID CITY Duane Walter Pinnt, 76, went to sleep with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at his home with his wife beside him. Duane was born March 19, Pinnt 1936, to John and Leona (Krogh) Pinnt in O'Neil, NE. He was one of five children.

He ranched for several years before going into the U.S. Air Force. After the service he came back to Hot Springs where he Louisa DeLeon RAPID CITY Louisa DeLeon, 99, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Golden Living CenterMead- owbrook in Rapid DeLeon City. She was born March 8, 1913, in New Mexico to Esquipula and Leonor (Chavez) Gallegos.

She attended school in Edgemont. On September 15, 1929, she married Santiago "Jim" DeLeon and they lived Irene P. Hiland RAPID CITY Irene Paula (Eppler) Hiland, 89, passed away Monday, October 8, 2012. Irene was born August 26, 1923, in Stuttgart, Germany. Her Hiland parents were Albert Eppler and Helena (Weik) Eppler.

Irene grew up in Germany during World War II and she worked at several Ruth A. Grant RAPID CITY Ruth A. Grant, 94, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Fountain Springs Health Care. Survivors include sons Steven Grant, Peoria, David Grant, Whitefish, and Christopher Grant, Rapid City; daughters Michele McGeeney, Peculiar, Marla Grant, Tampa, Jacqueline "Jacki" Dixion, Rapid City, and "Nikki" Hanson, Salt Lake City.

Her husband, Dr. A.J. Grant, preceded her in death. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 12, at Osheim Schmidt Funeral Home, and for one hour before services at the church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Blessed Sacrament Church, with the Rev.

Brian Lane presiding. Burial will follow at Pine Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial has been established for Kickin for Kids, a foundation to benefit children with leukemia. He stayed in Newcastle while working in Campbell County and lived in Rapid City. Matt had a laugh and a smile that he shared with family and friends and he had a heart of gold. His favorite race car driver was Dale Earnhardt, and he enjoyed going to the races and collecting Dale Earnhardt memorabilia. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends working on cars, hiking, bowling, his catalogs of Snap On Tools, and automobile magazines. again ranched.

He met and married Elaine Darling. He then went to work for the State Game Fish Parks, working eight years before going to WY, where he worked in the oil fields for 18 years, owning his own business, Duane's Dozer Service. He then moved back to SD working for Hills Materials for several years before retiring. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elaine in Edgemont until 1941, when they moved to Provo, SD. She was the Postmaster at Provo from 1960 to 1975.

She transferred to the Fort Meade, Post Office in 1975. After 47 years of marriage, her husband, Jim passed away in 1977. She retired from the postal service in 1978. In 1979 she moved to Rapid City. She was active in St.

Therese' The Little Flower Church and Choir, Altar Society, RSVP, VFW Auxiliary in Rapid City, National Assn. Postmasters, Hospital Auxiliary Rapid City, Minneluzahan Sr. Citizens Center and professions to help support her family. Irene met Sgt. James Hiland Jr.

and they were married on May 3, 1949 in Stuttgart. They spent many years traveling to different Army posts in Europe and the United States. In 1967 James and Irene moved to Rapid City which became their home. Irene was a loving wife, mother of four daughters, grandmother to nine grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her family including Donald G. Bates GILLETTE, WYO.

Donald G. Bates, 84, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Campbell County Memorial Hospital. He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include daughters Donna Foster, Gillette, and Gail Layden, Elizabeth, seven grandchildren; 16 great -grandchildren; and a brother, Scott Bates, Lead, S.D. His wife, Elsie, preceded him in death. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Gillette Memorial Chapel.

Services will be at noon Friday, Oct. 12, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Jared Tucher officiating. Burial, with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 42 and VFW, will follow at Mount Pisgah Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to benefit the American Cancer Society of Wyoming, Gillette Relay For Life Team 29.

He was preceded in the Rapid City Community Service Volunteer. She is survived by three sons, Patrick DeLeon Rapid City, Louis (Patty) DeLeon, Amherst, VA, and Ted Deleon, Fairbanks, AK; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; eight great -great -grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Virginia Wallace in 2011; two daughter in-laws, Nancy DeLeon in 2001 and Stella DeLeon in 2011; a son-in-law, Kyle Wallace in 2004; four sisters and four brothers. her seven great -grandchildren. She also had a love of flowers and family fondly remembers the iris' ever present in her yard. She often enjoyed crocheting and gardening. Irene also had an extensive collection of beautiful glass birds.
